Snow Moon Rising

by Lori L. Lake

Lori is best known for her Gun series, but this work of historical fiction should not be overlooked.

Snow Moon Rising follows a group of Roma (gypsies) in Europe between the end of the first World War and the present day, with most of the story set during the chaos of World War II.

If Lori were to say that she took the book from someone’s journal, I wouldn’t be surprised. It feels less like historical fiction and more like a true account. It is the story of innocent people caught up in events they have no control over, and it shows how real human beings manage to live through very troubled times.
